He is survived by: his parent Ella Mae Johnson Elam; his wife Mae Elam; his children, Pamela Hass (Mike) of Gate City, Amanda Dotson (Eddie) of Castlewood, Virginia and Kevin Elam (Robin) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his grandchildren, Brian Hass, Coty Hass, McKenzie Maxfield and Maddison Dotson; his great grandchildren, Brayden Hass and Katelyn Hass; and his siblings, Gay Vance (Eugene) of Cleveland, Brenda Linkous (Jerry) of Dante, Angie Parks (Mark) of Nickelsville, Pat Reynolds (Ira) of Abingdon, Virginia, Paul Elam (Sandy) of Castlewood, Guy Elam (Trish) of Nickelsville, Darrell Elam (Joann) of Nickelsville, Freddie Elam (Kay) of Castlewood and Ricky Elam (Shirley) of Castlewood, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
