He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Hurd and Margaret Baker Hurd; and his siblings, Gaines Hurd, Trigg Hurd and Edie Mae Winegar.
He is survived by: his friends, James F. and Scotty White; his wife Delsie Ellen Jessee Hurd; and his brothers, Bill Hurd (Easter) of Castlewood, Virginia, Roger Davis and Wayne Meade. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of friends.
