She was predeceased by: her parents, John B. George and Anna Spencer George; her husband Johnny Osborne; and her son Larry Osborne. She is survived by: her son Retired Chief Master Sergeant; her grandchildren, Captain, Matthew Osborne of Las Vegas, Ashley Osborne Wilson (Mike) and Technical Sergeant; and her half-brother Roger George of Pennsboro.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Graveside Services and Interment for Velma Osborne will be conducted at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon, Virginia with her son, Bryan Osborne officiating.
