She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaines Arthur and Lilly Emmaline Jessee Helbert; and her husband Robert Nathan Salyers. She is survived by: her children, Gwenda Dingus of Kingsman, Joyce Burke (Thomas) of Castlewood, Ella Salyers (Larry Dean) of Castlewood, Peggy Keith (Guy) of Castlewood, Virginia and Kennia Salyers of Castlewood, Virginia; her siblings, Marvin Helbert (Elaine) of Castlewood, Virginia and Bernice Hurd Hicks of Castlewood, Virginia; and also Patrick Dunfee of Castlewood, Virginia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Thelma Frances Salyers will be conducted at 7:00 p. m. Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. George Jordon officiating.
