It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Elizabeth Meade of Castlewood, Virginia, who passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Garland and Eunia Ellen Hurd; and her brothers, John C. Hurd, James Hurd and Elmer Hurd.
She is survived by: her husband Paul H. Meade; her nephew Eric Hurd; her siblings-in-law, Sue Hurd of Castlewood, Norma Lee Hurd of Westland, Sonja Salyers of Castlewood, Myra Osborne of Lebanon, Nancy Meade of Lebanon, Virginia, Gerald Meade of Castlewood, Darrell Meade of Kingsport and Bill Osborne of Lebanon, Virginia; her daughter Sara Lambert Osborne (Lincoln); her grandchildren, Gus and Adelin Osborne; and her niece Justice of Arizona. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Thelma Elizabeth Meade will be conducted at 4:00 p. m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Roger Hearl, Rev. Travis Fletcher, and Rev. Shawn Dupuie officiating.
