She is survived by: her husband Jerry Powers; her daughters, Jessica Patrick (Travis) of Castlewood, Virginia and Summer Shortt of Castlewood, Virginia; her mother Shelby Hughes of Castlewood, Virginia; and her siblings, Missy Nickles of Honaker, Virginia, James Morgan of Kingsport, Dale Nickles of Castlewood and Pat Nickles of Castlewood, Virginia. She is also survived by six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
