Sidney Botkin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sidney Botkin in Castlewood, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2021 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Botkin and Lois Dishman Botkin; his sister Christine Dollarhyde; his uncle John Henry; and his aunt Evelyn Knott.
He is survived by: his brothers, James Dishman (Sharon) of Trammel and John Botkin of Trammel, Virginia; his nieces and nephews, T. Tom Dollarhyde of St. Paul, Jimmie Dishman of Cumberland, Maryland, Wendee Dollarhyde of Castlewood, Jamie Dishman of St. Mary's Georgia and Angel Dishman of Trammel, Virginia; his close friends, Wendy Roberson and Finley Campbell (Jimbo); and his pets, Sissy and Paco. He is also survived by five great-nieces, three great-nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, the family of Sidney "Wild Sid" Botkin will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2021, from 5:00 p. m. until 9:00 p. m. in Castlewood Funeral Home in Castlewood, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Roger Jessee Food Bank, P. O. Box 988, Castlewood, Virginia 24224.
