It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A. Linkous (Castlewood, Virginia), born in Dante, Virginia, who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Robert and Lakie Claire Dishman Hobbs; her husband Charlie H. Linkous; and her siblings, Bertha Brooks, Gladys Williams, Beulah Campbell, Early Hobbs, James Hobbs, Marvin Hobbs, Clarence Hobbs and Bobby Hobbs.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Linkous (Julie) of St. Mary's and Robert Linkous (Sharon) of St. Paul, Virginia; her grandchildren, Josh Linkous, Isaac Linkous (Katie), Marley Linkous, Hayden Linkous, Nicole Linkous and Aubrey Linkous; her great grandchildren, Coen Alexander Linkous, Maddox Cole Linkous and Charlie Joseph Linkous; her sister Buena Evans of Coeburn, Virginia; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Hobbs of Port Richie and Sue Hobbs of Cleveland, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
