She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elery and Irene Garrett Adkisson; her husband Luther Clayton Marshall; her sisters, Dorothy Osborne and Mary Katherine Culbertson; and her brother-in-law E. B. Marshall.
She is survived by: her daughter Diann Peters (Chris); her grandsons, Josh Peters (Amber) and Jarred Peters (Destiny); her great grandchildren, Amelia "Millie" Peters and Hudson Peters; her siblings, Pauline Mullins, Sallie Cole, Betty Sproles, Linda Meade (Henry Wayne), Molly Wright (Ricky) and W. J. Adkisson; her close friend Rosalie Gilchrist; and her friends, Nina Cox, Vickie Lane and Valerie Kilgore. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A procession was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A committal service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Hill Memorial Park (2529 Memorial Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224).
