We are sad to announce that on June 16, 2022, at the age of 71, Roger Lee Dotson (Castlewood, Virginia), born in Dickenson County, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Gene and Georgia Austin; and his brothers-in-law, Teddy Austin and James Austin. He is survived by: his wife Connie Dotson; his children, Angela Dotson of Clintwood, Jill Penland of Chilhowie, Virginia, Melissa Hicks of Castlewood, Virginia, David Dotson of Kingsport and Chad Hicks (Missy) of Castlewood, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kristan Penland (Jason), Kesha Crabtree, Dalton Cromer (Courtney), Devan Crabtree (Haylee), Matthew Hicks (Meghan), Haley Griffith (Carlton), Katie Duncan (Greg) and Kierra Hicks; and his great grandchildren, Cylas, Brielle, Clayton, Jesse, Ember, Kason, Amira and Gracelynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
