She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Tylor B. and Anna Lee Ward Tate; her husband Quentin Hicks; her sons, Dale, Mike and Ricky Hicks; and her siblings, Nelson, Chester, Vernon, Troy, Rufus, Wilson, Phillip Tate, Bea Barker, Audrey Foster, Edith Mullins and Elsie Tate.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Hicks of St. Paul, Virginia; her sister Janice Jessee of Hansonville, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Zach, Harper, Jessica, Stacy, Crystal and Mike. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, a Graveside Service and Interment for Norma Lee Tate Hicks will be conducted at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, December 10, 2020, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Pastor D. J. Couch officiating.
