She was predeceased by: her parents, George Holbrook and Martha Holbrook; her husband Carl E. Skeens Sr.; her siblings, Katie Wolff, Ella Kilgore, Rudolph Holbrook and Andrew Holbrook; and her half-brothers, Frank and Luther Holbrook.
She is survived by: her children, Vaela Jean Gaetz (Fred) of Vadnais Heights, Linda Myers (Floyd) of Cheshire, Judy Skeens of Nora, Anna Skeens of Damascus, Virginia, Carl Skeens, Jr. of Nora, James Skeens of Coeburn and Richard Skeens (Linda) of Nora, Virginia; and her half-siblings, Carrie Salyer of St. Paul, Virginia, Jean Clark of St. Paul, Virginia, Anita Starnes of St. Paul, Virginia, Becky Holbrook of St. Paul, Virginia, Clinton Holbrook of Aurora, Ray Holbrook of St. Paul, George Holbrook, Jr. of St. Paul and Bobby M. Holbrook of St. Paul, Virginia. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
