He is survived by: his children, Crystal Steele Wiggins (Charles) of Franklinton, Steven L. Steele (Sheila) of Castlewood and Michael Wayne Steele, Jr. (Heather) of Franklinton; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Pickens, Brittany Allen and Bella Steele; his siblings, Sharon Hall (Jerry) of Castlewood, Marilyn Stacy (Homer) of Jonesboro, Janet Whittaker (Bill) of Apex and Ronnie Steele (Tonya) of Cary; and his sister-in-law Loretta Steele. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Michael W. Steele, Sr. will be conducted at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Larry Beavers officiating.
