It is with great sadness that we announce the death of McClellan Salyer Jr. (Castlewood, Virginia), who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, McClellan "Clell" Salyer and Kive Bellamy Salyer of St. Paul, Virginia; his brothers, Clifford Salyer and Andy Salyer; and also Marie Salyer Grizzel of Castlewood, Virginia..
He is survived by: his wife Norma Routh Salyer; his children, Robert McClellan Salyer (Cheryl) of Castlewood, William Patrick Salyer of Castlewood, Dena Salyer Jessee (Wayne) of St. Paul, Virginia and Chris Morrison of St. Paul, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Brogan Jessee (Travis) of Castlewood, Brigham Jessee (Kelie) of St. Paul, Dalton Salyer of Castlewood and Peyton Salyer (Brooke) of Castlewood, Virginia.; his siblings-in-law, Lyda (Jimmy Millhorn), Sue Salyer and Grizzel of Castlewood, Virginia; and his pet Chauncey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
