It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Bailey of Castlewood, Virginia, who passed away on June 29, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Holmes and Fannie Austin Holmes; her former husband James H. Chafin; and her siblings, Eva Mae Jessee, Rosa Lee Osborne and Robert "Bob" Holmes.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Bailey; her sons, Jeff Chafin (Diane) of Castlewood and James H. Chafin (Joyce M. Page); her grandchildren, James "Jamie" Chafin (Carol) of Meadowview, Jennifer King (Lee) of Atlanta and Summer Chafin; her great grandchildren, Linsey Chafin, Emery King and Anderson King; her close friends, Danny and Terri Hicks; and also Cody of St. Paul, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia of no more than 50% of capacity gathering and face-covering requirements Graveside Services and Interment for Mary "Mag" Bailey will be conducted at 11:00 a. m. Monday, July 6, 2020, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Chuck Martin officiating.
