She was predeceased by: her parents, Avery Brooks and Emily Brooks; her husband James D. Halloway; her daughter Tammie Alexander; and her siblings, Wayland "Bud" Brooks, Lois Breeding, Iris Marshall and Mary.
She is survived by: her son Donald W. Halloway (Lori) of Mechanicsville, Maryland; her grandchildren, Wendi, Jami, Donald II, Nicole and David; her great grandchildren, Kaiah, Ryleigh, Jase, Bently and Peyton; her sisters, Janice Compton of Annapolis and Meril "Muchie" Might of Stuart, Florida; and her close friend Phil. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Temple Hill Memorial Park (2529 Memorial Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224).
