She is survived by: her husband Joseph Smith; her children, Rhonda Anstett (Joey) of Raleigh and Patrick Smith (Kory) of Gate City, Virginia; her sister Bernice Smith of Vinton, Ohio; her grandchildren, Ashley Gardner (Randy) of Gate City and Rachel Anstett of Raleigh; and her great grandchild Hannah Gardner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
