She was predeceased by: her parents, James D. Steffey and Kate McConnell Steffey; her husband George B. Jessee, Sr.; her granddaughter Lauren Wallace Fields; and her close friend Jean Tarr.
She is survived by: her children, Lou Ann Wallace (William "Bill") of St. Paul, Virginia and George B. Jessee, Jr. (Lisa) of Lebanon, Virginia; her grandchildren, Georgeanna Morrison (Bobby) of Castlewood, William Justin Wallace of St. Paul, Kayla Johnson (Jeremiah) of Lebanon, Rachael Ferguson (Austin) of Bristol and Andrew Jessee (Jessica) of Lebanon, Virginia; her great grandchildren, Emily and Conner Morrison; her siblings, Rita Bales of Jonesborough, Tennessee and Howard "Ted" Steffey of Kingsport, Tennessee; her nephew Jim Pratt of Dante, Virginia; and her brother Bill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224).
