With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Ann Powers (Castlewood, Virginia), born in Matewan, West Virginia, who passed away on April 11, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rutherford and Minnie Dean Rutherford; her husband Donald Ray Powers, Sr.; her son Donald Ray Powers Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Varney, Dottie Fellowes, Alice Adams and Tommy Rutherford.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Lynn Powers of Dungannon, Virginia; her grandchildren, Ashli Nicole Edds (Jeff, Jr.) of Gate City, Aaron Christopher Powers (Kayla) of Dante, Adam Lee Powers of Clintwood and Amanda Stout (David) of Coeburn, Virginia; and her great grandchildren, Raelynn Harper Edds, Jaxon Elijah Powers, Brantley Weston Powers, Tanor Stout, Jada Stout, Nevaeh Stout and Jonathan Stout. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
