He was predeceased by: his parents, Abner Turner and Maggie Mae Hale Turner; his wife Margaret Hughes Turner; and his siblings, Earnestine Skeens and Gilbert Turner.
He is survived by: his siblings, Tince Skeens (Paul) of Castlewood, Frances Smith of Pikeville, Kentucky, Wilburn Carlos Turner of Castlewood, Virginia and Arlen Turner (Sharon) of Castlewood, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
