With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann Wright (Castlewood, Virginia), who passed away on December 30, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonas Jessee and Ethel Hughes Jessee; her husband William Jerry Wright; her son William Douglas Wright; her siblings, James Jessee, Dee Jessee, Billy Jessee, Wayne Jessee, Richard Jessee, Thelma McMillian, Peggy Plummer, Bessie Grizzle and Bonetta Jessee; and her son-in-law Dewey Salyer.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Evans (James) of Boonville, Joetta Wright (Stephen Angles) of Bluefield, Karen Whitney (Greg) of Boonville, Jennifer Salyer of Abingdon, Virginia and Jerry Wayne Wright (Kim) of Castlewood, Virginia; and her sister Dorothy Wright of Dante, Virginia. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
