He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Jones and Zinia Casteel Jones; his wife Hazel Frances Salyer Jones; his son Jerry Jones; his grandchildren, Amanda King, Angie Jones and Michael Meade; and his siblings, Margie Hudson and Clyde Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Benny L. Jones (Mary Greear) of Castlewood, Virginia, Janice Hurd (Roger) of Castlewood and Ellen Meade (Denver) of Castlewood, Virginia; his granddaughters, Amy Brown (Jeremy) of Christiansburg and Lisa Kiser (David) of Castlewood, Virginia; and his great grandchildren, Camden, Nolan, Brady, Dawson Brown, Ryan and Jana Kay Kiser. He is also survived by two great-great-grandchildren; and one niece.
