He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Lynn Garrett. He is survived by: his parents, J. D. Garrett and Thelma Garrett of Coeburn, Virginia; his children, Rod Garrett (B. J.) of Coeburn, Virginia, Christy Garrett of Coeburn, Virginia and Bergetta Ward of Coeburn, Virginia; his grandchildren, Hobie Salyers and Brooklyn Garrett; his close friend Hinze; his sister Tessa Humes of Marble Hill, MO; his niece Elizabeth Humes of Marble Hill, MO; his close friend Dallas Harvey of Coeburn, Virginia; and his mother-in-law Shirley Williams of Norton, Virginia. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
