She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Johnson and Neta Elizabeth Castle Johnson; her former husband Henry Castle; her husband George Henry Owens; her daughters, Terri Townes and Jean Castle; and her sister Jean Horne.
She is survived by: her sons, Henry Castle, Jr. (Shirley) and Michael Owens; her siblings, Charlie Johnson, Jimmy Johnson (Donna), Billy Johnson (Tina) and Joann Newsome (Tony); her granddaughter Heather Castle; and her close friend Vicki Bise. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
