He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Alexander and Vergie Jessee Meade; and his brothers, Clifford E. Meade, Jessee B. Meade and Cecil Greear Meade.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Meade; his children, Janice Walls (Al) of Bristol, Kathy Meade of Castlewood, Lisa Lambert (Jeff) of Castlewood, Virginia, Eddie Meade (Erma) of Castlewood, Virginia and Teddy Meade (Jackie) of Castlewood, Virginia; his sister Easter Mullins Hurd of Castlewood, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Josh McReynolds, Derick Meade, Nick Sargent, Jessica McReynolds and Elizabeth Campbell. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 6:45 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A procession was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Temple Hill Memorial Park (2529 Memorial Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224).
