She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Shuck and Delphia Kiser Hensley of Tennessee; and her former husband J. C. Hill. She is survived by: her husband Harold Shortridge; her children, Deirdre Holder of Lenoir, Tammy Hurd (Frank) of Castlewood, Virginia and Robbie Hill (Deanna) of St. Paul, Virginia; and her stepchildren, Fleisha Woelkers (Rick) of Castlewood, Teenie Breeding (Mike) of Castlewood, Virginia, Rick Shortridge (Katrina) of Castlewood and Chuckie Shortridge (Christy) of Castlewood, Virginia. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Georgia Shortridge will be conducted at 2:00 p. m., Friday, February 19, 2021, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Darrell Milgrim and Rev. Danny Meade officiating.
