He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Lena Counts Powers; his brother Russell Wayne Powers; his wife Barbara Bryant Powers; his children, Dawn West and Brian Wilkins; his grandsons, Nathan West and Jeremy West; his great grandchild Vivienne Ryan West; and his siblings, Virginia Powers Leftwich of Dante, Carolyn Powers Szekely (John) of Valrico, Florida and Harold L. Powers (Earnestine) of Pfafftown. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
