With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fines L. Dishman Sr. of Castlewood, Virginia, born in Dante, Virginia, who passed away on December 5, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Dishman and Ruby Atkins Dishman; his wife Henrietta Castle Dishman; and his brothers, Paul "Poochie" Dishman, Everett "Diddle" Dishman, Jr., Ernest Dishman and Roger Dishman.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Edmonds (David) of Castlewood, Virginia and Fines Dishman, II (Pam) of Castlewood, Virginia; his grandchildren, Chris Vella, Sarah Witkowski, Hannah Edmonds, Reid Edmonds (Danielle) and Gabrielle Vella; and his great grandchildren, Kohwyn, Kamdyn Witkowski, Spencer Phillips and Phoenix Graves. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, a Private Funeral Service for Fines L. Dishman, Sr. will be conducted in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Scott Million and David Edmonds, Jr. officiating.
