It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Cleo Dingus of Castlewood, Virginia, born in Wise, Virginia, who passed away on November 11, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene B. Dingus; and her children, Virginia Dingus Frank and Richard Dingus. She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Dingus (Fay) of Abingdon, Shirley Wolfe (Radford) of Wise and Roger Dingus (Carla) of Ponte Vedra, Florida; her grandchildren, Shannon Franks of Spartanburg, Christy Trippe of Prospect, Chris Dingus of Ocean Pines, Karissa Dingus of Louisville and Daniel Dingus of Ocean Pines, Maryland; her great grandchildren, Nathan, Abby Franks of Spartanburg, Sophia, Katharine Trippe of Prospect, Scott and Matthew Dingus of Ocean Pines, Maryland; and her sister Betty Roberts of Abingdon, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Evelyn Cleo Dingus will be conducted at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, November 15, 2020, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Arville Dingus officiating.
