He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Helbert and Rosa Jessee Helbert; his siblings, Garland, Fuller, Cecil, Don, Russell, Clifton, Mattie Helbert, Katherine Jessee, Allene Jones, Mary Steffey, Elizabeth Elam and Margaret Meade; his wife Eva Kate Helbert; his children, Eleanor David (Ronald) of St. Paul, Virginia Cooper, Carolyn Cooper of Castlewood, Virginia and Giles Helbert (Brenda) of Nickelsville, Virginia; his brother Jessie Helbert of Castlewood, Virginia; his sister-in-law Martha Helbert of Castlewood, Virginia; his grandchildren, Valerie Lasley (Steven, Michael Cooper), Courtney, Aaron Smith (Tia Hall) and Jared Helbert; and his great grandchildren, Macee, Kaden, Jonathan, Makalia, Lilly and Indie. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
