She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Phelps and Mary Jane Gibson Phelps; her husband S. Vernon Turner; her son Johnny; her grandson Cody Ring; and her siblings, Seburn Phelps, Oneda Duncan and Virginia Vicars.
She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Turner of Castlewood, Rosalie Gilchrist (Jay Adkisson) of Castlewood, Virginia, Vicki Scott (Brent) of Jacksonville, Florida and Joyce R. Schlobohm (Bill) of Castlewood, Virginia; her siblings, Wilma Phelps of Bristol, Virginia, Paul Phelps (Christine) of Castlewood, O'Neal Phelps of Jacksonville and Jim Phelps (Geraldine) of Bristol, Virginia; her sister-in-law Jan Phelps of Hiltons, Virginia; her grandchildren, Kindell Rerucha (Troy) of Grand Rapids and Natasha Dickson (Brian) of San Antonio, Texas; and her great grandchildren, Lily, Vivian Rerucha, Gia and Adalyn Dickson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
