He is survived by : his wife Evangelist Sally Eugenia Talford; his daughters, Alicia Shalawn T Hairston (Gerald Hairston, Jr.) of Atlanta and Crystal Dione Wimbush Talford of Norton, Virginia; his siblings, Stella Williams (Otis) of Bristol, Teresa Hopkins of Lehigh Acres, Betty Meade (Terry) of Coeburn, Virginia, William Talford, III (Norma) of Clinchco, Thomas Talford (Pat) of Knoxville, Jasper Randy Talford of Strawberry Plains and Calvin Talford (Sandra) of Johnson City, Tennessee; his step-brother Herbert "Woody" Scott (Mamie) of Castlewood, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Jullian Deione Wimbush, Keyshawn Tyrese Hairston, Tiffany Danielle Hairston and Jabez Enoch Wimbush. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
