He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howard and Ava Holbrook Burton; and his siblings, Rosie Ramsey, Loretta Burton, Margie Epperson and James "Speed" Burton.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Bellamy (Jeffrey) and Jeff Burton (Jennifer Trent); his grandchildren, Hunter Powers (Dana), Aaron Burton, Santana Rosenbaum (Chandler) and Barlow Burton; his great grandchildren, Ellis and Vada Powers; and his friends, Dave Witt, Chris Rasnick, Bobby Wise, Denny Long and Richard Greene. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
