He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Gose Dickenson, Sr. and Hope Osborne Dickenson; and his brother Gaines Wade Dickenson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Clark Dickenson; his daughters, Melissa Haywood of Chilhowie, Rebecca Totten of Saltville, Jessica Murthy of Bristol, Katy Elsea of Castlewood and Shannon Franks of Spartanburg; his grandchildren, Ella Coburn, Nalan Murthy, Wynn Murthy, Mirabelle Murthy, Clara Hope Elsea, Charlie G. Elsea, Nathan Franks and Abby Franks; and his siblings, Nancy Dickenson-Vicars of Castlewood, Virginia and Mark O. Dickenson of Castlewood, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
