He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Scarberry and Cosby Hurd Scarberry; and his son Billy Joe Scarberry, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Doris Jean Cooper of Noblesville, Indiana, Eliza McConnell of Noblesville, Indiana, Chris Scarberry of St. Paul, Virginia and Jessee Scarberry (Margit) of St. Paul, Virginia; his granddaughter Morgan Scarberry-Morse (Andrew) of Louisville, Kentucky; his great grandchild Beau Morse; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Magura-Scarberry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Billy Joe "Red" Scarberry will be conducted at 7:00 p. m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Gary Jacobs and Rev. Mark Welch officiating.
