It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Rose Jessee (Castlewood, Virginia), born in Coeburn, Virginia, who passed away on May 16, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cody and Dove Edwards Rose; her husband John Franklin Jessee; and her sister Dorothy Rose Schneider. She is survived by: her son Gary Jessee (Yvonne); her grandchildren, Cari Jessee Allen (Corey) of Greenville and Von Jessee (Kaitlyn) of Hamden, Connecticut; her great grandchildren, Carson David Allen and Colyer Jessee Allen; her niece Karen Valentine; and her great-nephew Aaron Valentine.
