She was predeceased by : her parents, John Henry Waller and Gracie Seay Waller Perkins; her spouse Eddie Clay Hairston, Sr.; her son David Hairston; and her siblings, Eleanor Stockton, Lizzie Hairston, Gertrude Griggs, Mertha Hairston, Hobert Perkins, Jr. and Benjamin Perkins.

She is survived by : her children, Elizabeth Dianne Carter (Tommy) of Axton, VA, Virginia Mooreman (Clarence) of Cascade, VA, Aaron Hairston (Corbie) and Min; and her sisters, MaLois Philpott of Martinsville, VA and Gracie Devins (George) of Axton, VA.

Due to the constraints of public gathering due to the COVID 19 outbreak, viewing will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4-7 PM from Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time only, masks are required.
