She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd Stephen Smith and Sallie Seymour Smith. She is survived by : her husband Joe Alden Weddle; her siblings, Irving "C. I.", Vergie Smith, Catherine Smith Robertson, Mary Smith Heslep and Jettie Smith Taylor; her daughter Joan Weddle Whitt; her son-in-law Bobby Whitt of Raleigh; her granddaughter Shannon Thompson Oliver; and her great grandchild Andrew "Drew" Oliver of Holly Springs, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
