It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Gilbert Jarrett of Cascade, Virginia, who passed away on March 20, 2013, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Sam Gilbert and Purnell Motley Gilbert; her husband Jack B. Jarrett; and her siblings, Bernice Hankins, Carol Hopkins, Jean Gilbert, Sammie and Charles Gilbert.

She is survived by : her children, Jay Jarrett (Sherri) of Woodstock, VA and Susan Jarrett Schlacter (Jed) of Long Island, NY; her grandchildren, Jack Bradley Jarrett III, Meredith Hope Schlacter, Scott Jarrett Schlacter and Laura Kathleen Jarrett; her sisters, Ann Jeffries of Eden and Mary Lewis of Madison; and her nieces, Gloria Chandler (Jim), Hope Breedlove and Vickie Martin.
