We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Kathleen Nelson Speas of Cartersville, Virginia, born in Cumberland, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nelson and Ada Nelson; her husband William Marlie Speas; and her siblings, Effie, Reba, Isabel, Butch, Josh, Dan and Noah.

She is survived by: her son Arthur Wayne Speas; and her godson Frederick Nelson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery Association (building fund).
