It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Shores Sr. of Cartersville, Virginia, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood G. Shores and Ethlynd R. Shores Adams; his siblings, Carolyn Fleshman, Catherine McKoy, Charles Shores and David Shores; and his stepfather William R. Adams.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Baldwin Shores; and his children, Teresa Shores Ingle (Paul) of Cumberland, Cindy Shores (Steve) of Chesterfield, James Linwood Shores, Jr. (Shelby) of Powhatan and Rodney Earl Shores (Amy) of Chesterfield.
