He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood G. Shores and Ethlynd R. Shores Adams; his siblings, Carolyn Fleshman, Catherine McKoy, Charles Shores and David Shores; and his stepfather William R. Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Baldwin Shores; and his children, Teresa Shores Ingle (Paul) of Cumberland, Cindy Shores (Steve) of Chesterfield, James Linwood Shores, Jr. (Shelby) of Powhatan and Rodney Earl Shores (Amy) of Chesterfield.
