She is survived by: her parent Virgie Johnson Darden; her husband Robert "Poopie" Bland Whitmore; her children-in-law, Lisa Whitmore Rath (David) and Joseph "Jay" William Whitmore (Dawn); and her sisters, Glenn D. Taylor, Sandra D. Cook, Joyce D. Buhls and Barbara Slagle. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
