He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert L. Armstrong and Hazel Jackson Armstrong; and his son James Douglas Fields. He is survived by: his wife Eva M. Armstrong; his children, Denise Fields Burton, Dennis E. Fields, Sr. (Teresa) and Roger Dale Armstrong, Jr.; his grandchildren, Kristin, Lauren, Angie, Dennis II, Alexis, Brady, Cody, Dustin and Brett; and his siblings, Jane Collins, Randy Armstrong and Gilbert Armstrong, Jr..
