He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Carter, Sr. and Beatrice Carter (Froe); and his siblings, Ivanne Stewart (Taft Stewart), Jacqueline Grimes (Elbert Grimes), Deborah Carter, Jauncie Whitfield (Bert Whitfield) and Froe Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Bennison; his sisters, Regina Crockett (Ernest Crockett) and Susan Slaughter (Clarence Slaughter); and his pet Marley. He is also survived by four nephews, eight nieces, two godchildren and many friends.
