She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon O. Smith Jr.; her parents, Leoma Tolbert Richardson and Ira Richardson; and her siblings, Emmett, Bernard, Rev. Powell, Harold, Richard, Donald, Douglas, Mary Rumburg, Willie Reinhart, Clarice Brooks and Lucille Dennis.
She is survived by: her siblings, Guy Richardson, David Richardson, Paul Richardson and Nina Derby. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
