She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny James Pierce and Selma Marie Nicholson Pierce; her husband Roy Vance Thomas; her son Roy Vance Thomas III; and her brother Edgar Pierce.

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia T. Roach (Shelby Van), Anne T. Beale (Marshall Aubrey) and William Robert Thomas; her grandchildren, Tina, Carrie, Shelli, Krissy, Abby, Justin and Megan; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Victoria, Jonathan, Paul, Claire, Alyson, Hannah, James, Leo and Harper Grace; her great great grandchild Jack; and her siblings, Lillia Nicholson, Dee Modlin, Louise Phelps, James Otis Pierce, Delano Pierce and Randy Pierce.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to Medi Home Hospice, 11838 Rock Landing Dr Suite 140, Newport News, VA 23606.
