We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2021, at the age of 75, James D Pope Jr. of Capron, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James D. Pope and Dorothy Jones Pope of Capron; his former life partner Kay N. Pope; his brother Charles Ashby "Buddy" Pope; and his brother-in-law Bill Nurney.

He is survived by : his wife Jane Pope; his sons, James D. "Jim" Pope III (Robin) and Joseph W. "Joe" Pope (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Kendal Pope, Megan Duck, Austin Pope, Betsy Pope and Ashby Pope; his siblings, Greg Pope (Kitty Lou) and Katie Edwards (Tye); and his sister-in-law Linda Vick.
