It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Erma Williams Joyner of Capron, Virginia, who passed away on January 25, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Grover Williams and Fannie Mae Joyner Williams; her son Charles L. "Granger" Joyner, Jr.; and her siblings, Daphne Williams Vaughan Dunn, Leona Williams Davis, Arthur Clifton Williams, Sidney Thomas Williams and Dr. David Collins "D. C.".
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn J. Nurney, Charlene J. Davis (Tommy) and Wesley Grover Joyner (Kay); her grandchildren, Christy Boyce (Dylan) and Charles L.; her great grandchildren, Caleigh, Camden Gray, Austin Turner, Marissa, Elizabeth, Jenna Nurney, Dale, Renee Bryant, Ryan, Jacqueline Plunkett, Tyler, Olivia Pittman, Jake, Ian Fowler, Brylee, Asher Joyner, Waverly and Addee Joyner; her daughter-in-law Linda Joyner; her sisters-in-law, Flora Ann Williams and Zeannette "Topsy" Williams; and also, Mike Lewis, Michelle, Rebecca and David Lewis.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Capron Methodist Church or any favorite charity.
