He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl F. Edwards, Sr. and Flossie Bryant Edwards; and his siblings, Sidney Ray "Speck" Edwards and Phyllis Belville. He is survived by: his wife Allene Spence Edwards; his daughters, Jo Ann Murray (Robert) of Suffolk and Tammy Jarratt (Lloyd) of Capron; his grandchildren, Jorden, Jason Jarratt and Samantha Murray; and his sisters, Shelvia Harrell and Barbara Story.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for people to follow in the "Buck" tradition of being a good neighbor and helpful friend.
